Reading: Romans 8:1-17<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE: Start of audio recording was missed.<\/strong><br \/>\nSummary of missed portion of audio:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>We want more experiences<\/li>\n<li>We live in an experience-hungry age.<\/li>\n<li>We cannot assess reality of something only by how we feel about it.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;&#8216;I know&#8217; or &#8216;I think&#8217; has given way to &#8216;I feel&#8217;. The objective has had to make way for the subjective.&#8221; &#8211; Derek Tidball<\/li>\n<li>The Mystics emphasise inward, subjective experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Examples of Mystics: Richard Rolle (14th Century Hermit) who experienced an &#8216;unusually pleasant heat&#8217; when thinking about God.
